Integration Progress Review (IPR)

We are glad that a further step towards our aim of sending our experiment to space was reached in the beginning of September – the Integration Progress Review (IPR).
Thorsten, Dieter and Simon took the long journey from ZARM down the very next street to visit us at the DLR Institute of Space Systems where we have our meeting room and lab space.ipr_runde

We were working hard the last weeks to start implementing our design into a touchable construction. The intense planning and design in the previous phases paid off. For now, the subsystems which we could already assemble are matching. For instance our novel and sophisticated ejection mechanism.

Unfortunately, not everything went according to plan. Especially in our Electronics and Software department where we were confronted with unexpected problems, the progress is delayed. But due to the high competence of the leaders of these departments, we are very confident that we regain the lost time.

Still a lot of work ahead!
